  • Members respect and abide by the Constitution and Bylaws of MMPNO.

  • Professional nurses, with the lived experiences consistent with our mission, are welcome and encouraged to voluntarily join our organization. By so doing, nurses agree to serve as volunteers in carrying out our organization's mission.

  • With honor, integrity, truthfulness, dignity and fairness, members inspire public confidence and trust in our organization by voluntarily and responsibly meeting the social and health needs of some individuals, small groups, families and communities.

  • Members will make conscious choices to avoid a conflict of interest or the appearance of a conflict by not accepting for personal use or benefit, money or any other tangible resources for the performance of services or acts of kindness in the name of MMPNO.

  • Membership in MMPNO carries a personal and professional responsibility to engage in self-study, continuing education and the use of our knowledge and skills in the service of others.

  • Spirituality* is an important socio-cultural value which is defined by each member to give meaning and importance to their personal and professional lives as well as one of the highest values for our organization.

Our organization’s Code of Ethics is informed by the Social Policy statement of the American Nurses Association (ANA) and ANA’s Code of Ethics.
